The stability of fluorouracil in PVC bags and a glass was studied. Fluorouracil was added to 5％ dextrose injection 1L or 0.9％ sodium chloride injection 1L in polyvinyl chloride bags and glass. Admixtures were stored at room temperature. The concentration of fluorouracil in the samples was determined by UV-spectroscopy assay at 0.25, 1, 3, 13, 24, 48, 72hours. The value for fluorouracil dissolved in 5％ dextrose injection in PVC bags was 43 hours and in 039％ sodium chloride injection in PVC bags, 3hrs. The T_(90) value for fluorouracil dissolved in 0.9％ sodium chloride injection in glass was 2hrs. As a result, fluorouracil dissolved in 5％ dextrose injection in PVC bags was more stable than in 0.9％ sodium chloride in PVC bags and glass.
